My BIS core classes

Aside, from the classes required from both the business side and communication side of my major, there were four required BIS classes that really defined what the degree was all about and how to use it to our full advantage.

BIS 301

This was the BIS beginner course that really broke down what interdisciplinary means. What an interdiscplinarian does and what defines an interdiscplinarian.

BIS 302

This next class was also called advanced research methods. The whole course was writing a professional research paper piece by piece. This class taught me how to efficiently find and use information for research.

BIS 401

Also called the internship or job site. This online class was me working 125 hours at my internship and then writing about my experiences and then submitting them online. We also followed strict time sheet and evaluation procedures along with communicating on a discussion board about our experiences.

BIS 402

Senior Seminar! This class kind of brings everything that is learned together. There are to great books that we have read that have been more interesting to my life than the majority of books I've read throughout college. This class through resumes, papers, time lines, really helps prepare you to make that college career transition.
